Redditch Lions having a great day at Morton Stanley Party in the Park

Redditch Lions joined The Party In The Park Fun Day on Sunday, July 19 at Morton Stanley Park. The weather was great, the people were friendly, and the sun was hot, hot, hot.

Redditch Lions were supported by classic-car and bike enthusiasts, along with Startins and Ford Dealerships. The classic cars and motor bikes were judged by Lion President Jeff Jennings and Lion Theresa Poole with the following winners- best saloon a Standard Big 9 winner being Mike Andrews; best sports, a Lotus Esprit, was Cyril Morris; best motor bike; a silver/Red Royal Enfield was Bob Adams and Best in Show was an Austin owned by Alan Hopkins

The mini football shoot was particularly popular with our younger visitors. Our thanks go to Redditch Air Cadets for their help at the start and finish of our event.

An enjoyable day was had by all.

Lion Carole Andrews was awarded her 30 year Long Service Certificate from our President Jeff Jennings last night. During her thirty years at Redditch Lions she has held many roles and has always worked hard and diligently for the people of Redditch.

Lion Carole was also awarded a special club certificate for her unfailing commitment, effort and generosity of spirit.

Well Done, Lion Carole.
